Dear Parents, Carers and Friends,
As Term 3 comes to a close, I want to thank you for your continued support. The last day of term is this Thursday, and we’re proud of all our students’ efforts.
At St Gregory’s, we’re here to support your child’s wellbeing—socially, emotionally, and academically. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to your child’s teacher, grade coordinator, or to Kate Green or myself if you need anything. We’re always happy to help.
Last night, our Year 5 students wowed us with their first performance of Beauty and the Beast! There are two more shows today at 12 noon and 6pm, and a few tickets are still available for the matinee. A big thank you to our Year 5 teachers, school staff and Year 5 families for making this production such a success—it’s one the students will never forget.
Thank you to all who joined us for events this term. We love having you at school and look forward to more opportunities next term, including our Spring Festival on Sunday 26 October. There’ll be student performances, food stalls, and our final school disco. Please save the date and consider volunteering to support this great community event.
We were saddened by the passing of Bishop Pat Power, a proud Queanbeyan local known for his compassion and service.

- Vigil Mass tonight: Tuesday 23 Sept, 7pm – St Raphael’s, Queanbeyan
- Funeral Mass: Wednesday 24 Sept, 11am – St Christopher’s Cathedral, Manuka

Please keep Bishop Pat and those loved ones in our community who are no longer with us in your prayers.
May your merciful kindness, O Lord, be with your servant Bishop Pat Power. May he know eternal peace. Amen.
Wishing you a safe and restful holiday. Enjoy the sunshine and family time, and we look forward to seeing everyone back on Tuesday 14 October in summer uniform.
Loving God,
As we come to the end of this school term,
we pause to give thanks for all that we have learned,
for the friendships we’ve built,
and for the challenges that helped us grow.
Thank you for the teachers and staff who guide us with wisdom and care,
for our families who support us,
and for the gift of each day in the St Gregory’s school community.
Help us to rest well over the break,
to return refreshed and ready to continue our journey.
May we carry kindness, courage, and gratitude into all that we do.
Bless our school, our homes, and our hearts.
Amen.
Have a safe and blessed school holiday.
